Involvement
Being a member of Deep River Bowmen does come with a few expectations. Member participation is key to the success of this organization. There are various activities in which members are urged to participate:
-
On the 1st Tuesday of every month, there are membership meetings that make your voice heard. All decisions regarding the club are made at these meetings.
-
Because DRB is a non-profit organization, and operate on a tight budget, we must do virtually all repairs, grounds maintenance, and renovations ourselves. Therefore, before scheduled shoots, there are "work parties" in which members get together and do whatever maintenance is necessary to prepare for that shoot.
-
During the summer months, Deep River Bowmen also hosts free youth shoots in various Porter County Parks. Participation is needed to help load targets, set up, and assist with instruction.
-
The best way to support this club (and definitely the most fun), is by coming out and participating in the various shoots throughout the year.
